Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung stated that there will be an open recruitment for firefighter personnel this year . It is run to overcome low personnel number in the agency.

Open recruitment will open soon

Pramono added the personnel number is way far from ideal. There are only 3,900 personnel out of 11 thousands needs.

"Open recruitment will open soon to overcome the low personnel number," he stated, Monday (3/24).

Pramono added the recruitment will be run in stages. Jakarta Provincial Government will also fulfil the personnel facilities.

Meanwhile, he also highlighted the high level of public trust in the Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Agency. It can be seen from the number of non-fire cases handled that reaching around 6,800 cases.

"I would like appreciate the agency for handling 1969 cases including with the non-fire case. Public trust remains high for the agency," he added.

Pramono instructed Acting Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Agency, Satriadi Gunawan and his ranks to improve the well-maintained public trust. Pramono also appealed the agency to prepare prevention steps especially at overpulated are such as Tambora.

Acting Jakarta Fire Handling and  Rescue Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan admitted there are only 3,900 firefighter personnel out of 11,000 required number.

"We propose to Jakarta Provincial Government to add the personnel number," he admitted.

Satriadi explained the addition of personnel this year will be adjusted with the budget.

"As stated by the governor, open recruitment to be opened this year," he said.
