Jakarta Ready to Anticipate Potential Tidal Floods

Jakarta City Council Commission D Member, Bun Joi Phiau urged the Jakarta Government to prepare for the anticipated tidal flooding at the end of March 2025.

Tidal flooding must be anticipated to hinder severe impacts on the lives of residents

Aside that, Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung also warned that Jakarta has the potential to experience tidal flooding from March 28 to 29, 2025.

"Tidal flooding must be anticipated to hinder severe impacts on the lives of residents," he expressed, Thursday (3/27).

Commission D: NCICD Construction must Be Accelerated to Handle Tidal Waves

Thereby, Bun Joi Phiau urged the Jakarta Government to soon execute mitigation in facing the potential of tidal flooding.

"All stationary and mobile pumping stations must be activated to quickly drain the floods in several areas," he expressed.

He even urged several flood-prone areas to enhance their preparedness.

"The Water Resources Agency, the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), and the Social Agency (Dinsos) must also be prepared to respond to any situations that may evolve in the future," he asserted.
