Lebak Bulus Terminal Expected to Be Packed with Travelers Ahead of Eid

Entering D-1 of Eid, Lebak Bulus Terminal in South Jakarta is predicted to remain crowded with homebound travelers, although the peak of homecoming flow has already passed.

" Now, the surge is likely to be seen only on shorter routes"

Lebak Bulus Terminal Head, Iman Syafril, stated that the surge in passengers occurred on March 27, 2025 (D-4 of Eid), with 1,156 passengers, and on March 28, 2025 (D-3 of Eid), with 1,060 passengers.

"Routes to Central Java, East Java, and Sumatra have reached the peak on D-4 and D-3. Now, the surge is likely to be seen only on shorter routes like Kuningan and Cirebon in West Java,” he explained, on Sunday (3/30).

Jakarta’s Health Posts Set to Support Homecoming Travelers

According to him, there are 38 bus companies (PO) operating at Lebak Bulus Terminal, with an average of 10 vehicles per company during the homecoming period.

"Buses at this terminal only transit, without waiting, with departures scheduled in the morning at 6-9 AM and in the afternoon at 3-8 PM," he added.

Iman also noted that, based on vehicle feasibility tests and health checks for the bus crews conducted with UP PKB Jagakarsa and Jakarta Health Agnecy, all buses were declared roadworthy and the drivers are in good health.

"We continue to monitor bus conditions and bus crews' health to ensure a safe and comfortable homecoming journey," he said.
