Dengue Fever Case in South Jakarta Declines Compared to Last Year

Dengue fever case in South Jakarta during January to April 2025 is 428 cases. The number is drastically lower compared to same period last year by 1.302 cases.

South Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Yudi Dimyati said thanked the related agencies and up to residents, especially Mosquito Larva Monitoring cadres, for this achievement.

"Preventive efforts in preventing dengue fever remain run such as eliminating mosquito nest twice a week and invite residents to be the mosquito larva monitoring self-agent," he said, Tuesday (4/15).

Yudi added the nest elimination is also run with fogging method at residential, office, and school.

"Socialization in preventing dengue fever is also run to residents including how to create flytrap in schools and residentials," he added.

According to him, the dengue fever cases in January were 169, February 141, March 110, and eight cases in mid April.

Jagakarsa is the most district with highest dengue fever case with 71. Next is Tebet with the lowest dengue fever case by 14.

"Last year, Mampang Prapatan was the highest area with 322 dengue fever cases. Then Cilandak was the lowest area with 168 cases," he continued.

Yudi hopes dengue fever case in Jakarta can be lower by the end of this year. Related stakeholders and residents need to improve the prevention efforts.

"We need to stay focus in preventing dengue fever by conducting prevention efforts," he stated.
