C. Jakarta Tamhut Prunes 3,890 Trees Since January

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency (Tamhut) has pruned 3,890 prone to fall trees in eight districts from January to April 13.

We handled 77 broken trees and 43 fallen trees

Central Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Mila Amanda said the tree pruning and cutting are routinely held to anticipate fallen tree case.

"860 trees were light pruned, 2,089 trees were medium pruned, 904 trees were heavy pruned, and 37 trees were cut," she said, Wednesday (4/16).

Mila added tree cutting was applied due to tree's age and condition that could fall during heavy rain with strong wind.

According to her, those pruned trees were result of responding resident's report through CRM application or personnel's monitoring.

"There were 1,489 responses from CRM, 136 proposal letters from residents, 287 proposal letters from agency or institution, 708 responses based on personnel monitoring, and sub-agency's routine activity by 415 trees," she explained.

She continued his side also managed 120 fallen tree cases due to heavy rain and strong wind during January to March 2025.

"We handled 77 broken trees and 43 fallen trees along January to March," she stated.
