City Government Collaborates with Seven Colleges

Jakarta Provincial Government and seven colleges, Wednesday (4/16), signed the cooperation related to education, research and community service.

Those seven colleges are Universitas Kristen Indonesia, Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana, Univesitas Katolik Atmajaya, Univeristas Binawan, Universitas Pancasila, Universitas Esa Unggul and Universitas Sahid.
Rano Invites Residents to Maintain Public FacilitiesThe cooperation agreement was appreciated by Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno. The cooperation agreement is five years.
Rano said the long cooperation duration will give benefits for both sides since research can not be done in one or two years.
"In the name of Jakarta Provincial Government, thanks to the universities joining in this cooperation. We'll run many programs," he said.
Rano assessed it will be interesting to involve universities in researching Jakarta history related to Jakarta's 500th anniversary celebration.
"Surely we will invite them to do research Jakarta history," he added.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Regional Secretariat's Regional Cooperation Bureau Head, Marulina Dewi said the cooperation is made by determining Jakarta Provincial Government's needs to increase research and innovation to achieve the long-term development vision as a global city.
She added that strong research and continuous innovation will be the key to improve the life, economic, competitiveness quality and attractiveness of Jakarta.
Jakarta Provincial Government, she added, encourages universities to contribute in development by maximizing science, knowledge and technology.
Various cooperation
to be realized are increasing the capacity of human resources for field assistants at certified health centers and regional hospitals.The college student internships will be placed in 31 regional public hospitals, 44 community health centers and 292 sub-community health centers, six UPTs and in social houses.
Next, community service in four health centers and 292 sub-community health centers, and social houses. Then there is implementation of joint research studies in supporting sustainable Jakarta development in all Jakarta Provincial Government's Regional Working Units.
"Internship program can be run in Regional Working Units according to student needs," she stated.
