Jakarta City Council Commission E Vice Chairwo man, Agustina Hermanto, prompted the Jakarta Cultural Agency to enhance the presence of Betawi cultural symbols in various corners of the capital's main streets.

"Cultural symbols of Betawi must be enhanced in every corner of the city's main streets," she expressed, Thursday (4/17).

She also wanted the Culture Agency to mainstream the role of culture as a means of shaping the character of Jakartans.

"Opening up participation space for the arts community at the neighborhood and urban village levels in cultural arts programs in public spaces," she explained.

She hoped that the Jakarta Government could collaborate with the Indonesian diaspora abroad to push the promotion of Betawi culture.

"Including the provision of costumes and materials for local cultural education," she explained.

Then they also need to continue efforts to revitalize and digitize museums and cultural facilities regularly and evenly.

"This is to enhance the attractiveness of the visit," she stated.
