City Government Provides Special Attention for Women in Kartini Day

The implementation of Rp 1 special fare or free for women riding public transportations such as Transjakarta, LRT and MRT, Monday (4/21), is assessed as part of Jakarta Provincial Government attention for Kartini and women nowadays.

This program helps the residents much

It was stated by Luthfi Wijayanti, a woman who works as a lecturer in fine arts at the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ). She admitted  happy with the implementation of this special fare for taking mass transportation to commemorate Kartini Day, April 21, 2025.

"This program helps the residents much . It is part of Jakarta Provincial Government attention for women," she said, Monday (4/21).

She goes to IKJ Campus, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Menteng, Central Jakarta everyday by using KRL and Transjakarta from his house in Bintaro.

She hoped the mass transportation services such as cleanliness, comfort and safety can be improved.

Meanwhile, Ani (40), a woman who works on a retail company in Tanjung Duren, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, explained her office mate told her about this program.

"I hope this can be an example for othe regions in Indonesia," she admitted.

According to her, the public transportation armada needs to be added and bus stop facilities to be improved even though overall condition of public transportation in Jakarta is already good, safe, and comfortable.
