Jakarta Holds Free Driving License Renewal for Women

The Jakarta Government is holding a free driver's license extension program, specifically for women in the courtyard of the Jakarta City Hall in commemoration of Kartini Day, celebrated every April 21.

This program is offered as a form of appreciation to women, especially members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) and Jakarta civil servants (ASN). The quota for this program is limited to 100 participants.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), we gathered 60 participants but some did not meet the requirements, so only 50 participated. We from Jakarta DWP express our heartfelt thanks for the appreciation given by the Governor and his partner to the wives of Jakarta civil servants," she expressed, Monday (4/21).
Acting Assistant for Economics and Finance, Suharini Eliawati explained Kartini Day does not have to be done ceremonially, but can instead be filled with beneficial activities, such as free public services.
She also hoped that the collaboration with DWP would continue in the form of beneficial activities in the future.
"Celebrating Kartini Day doesn't have to be in kebaya attire. This is one form of appreciation from the Governor and his partner. We're providing free SIM renewal services for DWP members and female civil servants," she added.
This free service received appreciation from one of the Jakarta DWP members, Eka Herawati.
She wanted the same services to continuously be provided on other occasions to facilitate the administrative needs of the residents.
"The renewal of this driver's license is an appreciation from the Governor to the wives of civil servants or DWP. The service is very fast. Called, photographed, and immediately printed. I only needed 15 minutes to renew two licenses," she closed.
