Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said Jakarta Provincial Government has set the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) tariff by five percent for private vehicles and 2.5 percent for public transportation.

Pramono explained that this decision is a form of relaxation of the maximum tariff set by the central government by 10 percent.
City Government Has Not Decided on 10 Percent PBBKB, Pramono Affirms"We will provide relaxation or convenience and discount. It becomes five percent for private vehicles and 2.5 percent for public transportation," Pramono said, Wednesday (4/23).
Pramono added PPBKB rate in Jakarta has been at a maximum of 10 percent for more than 10 years and it is collected by Pertamina.
"There is discretion given to the Governor with the new law," he added.
Pramono added the tariff adjustment will be socialized to residents and followed up through the issuance of the Governor's Regulation.
"At the gas stations, the change is only felt by Jakarta residents," he stated.
