City Exempts Land and Building Tax for Certain House Categories

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung announced the exemption of Land and Building Tax (PBB) for houses with Taxable Object Sales Value
(NJOP) under Rp 2 billion and apartments or flats with a NJOP under Rp 650 million.The PBB tax for those criteria are free
The decision is written in the Governor Decree Number 281/2025 that was signed on March 25, 2025.
"The PBB tax for those criteria are free," Pramono said, Wednesday (3/26).
City's Regional Tax Touches Rp 44,46 TrillionPramono explained this policy aims to ease society burden especially those who live in flats or apartments with low NJOP. According to him, most flats in Jakarta have NJOP under Rp 650 million. It means they will get this benefit.
"Except for those who are capable, we provide free PBB Tax," Pramono added.
This policy will soon be socialized to the public. Pramono continued that for the second house with NJOP under Rp 2 billion, tax rate is 50 percent, then for the third house and so on is charged at full rate.
Pramono emphasized he will manage regional finances well and prioritize programs that benefit lower-middle class communities.
