Green Taskforce Personnel Prune 63 Trees in Pasar Minggu

South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Green Taskforce personnel pruned 63 trees in Pasar Minggu District.

We deployed 30 personnel

South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifien said the pruning was run to anticipate broken and fallen tree during heavy rain accompanied with strong wind.

Tree Pruning in Duren Sawit to Complete This Week

"We deployed 30 personnel that were divided into four teams," he said, Thursday (4/24).

He explained that personnel pruned 35 trees on Jalan RM Harsono, Ragunan Urban Village; five trees on Jalan Kemang Timur and Jalan Amil, Pejaten Barat Urban Village; 19 trees on Jalan Madrasah I and Jalan Bhakti, Cilandak Timur Urban Village; and four trees on Jalan Kebagusan Dalam, Kebagusan Urban Village.

"The pruned trees were Banyan, Angsana, Bintaro, Tanjung, Sukun, and so on," he added.

He appealed the residents to report via JAKI application or local government offices if they found broken or prone to fall trees.

"Hopefully this effort will give safety and comfort for road users," he continued.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Ahmad Maulana (42), appreciated the tree pruning since it is also maintain the city aesthetic.

"The road is getting brighter not only on daylight but also at night," he admitted.
