Ahok: Transjakarta will Only Buy the Best Quality Bus Through E-Catalog

As many as 20 Transjakarta articulated buses branded Scania recently launched by Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) today (22/6) which coincides with 488th Jakarta anniversary. Ahok admitted, this process can shorten the time because Jakarta Provincial Government could skip the auction process in Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishubtrans) and prevent corruption that usually happens during the tender auction process.
"We seek the best process trough Government Procurement Regulatory Body (LKPP) so the private company also can buy the bus trough this e-catalog too," told Ahok while launching the 20 Transjakarta buses in Monas, Central Jakarta, Monday (22/6).

"Although there are some leading bus brands such as Scania, Daewoo, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, why the Jakarta Provincial Government prefers to buy Weichai or Zhongtong bus? Now, we will change it, we asked PT Transjakarta to always buy the best quality bus although they don't have money," he told.
Moreover, Ahok even dare to add subsidies or public service obligation (PSO) to RP 3 trillion for PT Transjakarta. "We dare to give them Rp 3 trillion subsidies to buy the best quality bus," told Basuki
In the occasion, besides expressing his happiness because Jakarta Provincial Government have world-class bus for Transjakarta, Ahok also receive the grant of a double-decker tourism bus with MAN brand made in Germany from international beverages company, and launch the emergency ambulance of Jakarta Health Department.
