We Will Make Transjakarta Lane Exclusive, Ahok Says

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) deplore the accident still occurred in Transjakarta bus lane. In fact, although the lane is specially made to be only used by Transjakarta bus, some party still blame Transjakarta driver that are less carefully while driving the bus.

In future, Ahok hoped the Transjakarta bus could become exclusive such as railway and all offender who trespassing the lane will get punishment.
"We still found any party that blame Transjakarta bus when the accident occur although they know the lane is only can be passed by the bus. It is very different with railway, the offender will be blame if trespassing the railway," told Ahok in Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (6/18).
Brake Tension, Transjakarta Bus Hit the Road DividerTo make the lane exclusive, all barrier will be leveled using movable concrete barrier (MCB). Then, Radio-frequency identification (RFID) will be installed in Transjakarta for the purpose of automatic doors installation in every corridor.
"We want make the lane exclusive like train, all barrier will be leveled to make it only can be used by Transjakarta bus, and we will also install the RFID," he told.
As known, Jakarta Bina Marga DKI had budgeted the MCB installation in six Transjakarta corridors 1,2,3,4,6, and 9. The MCB has size 60 x 40 cm with thin shape.
Moreover, the MCB will be installed along 400 kilometers in accordance with the length of Transjakarta bus line that will be repaired this year.
