A fire has destroyed at least three bungalows at the resort on Semut Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, Seribu Islands. It was triggered with an electrical short-circuit.

North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat)'s Operations Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman said, the fire was reportedly occurred at 1.20 AM.
"We immediately sent three fire engines plis 15 firefighters to the scene," he expressed, Friday (5/2).

"No fatalities and casualties in the incident," he explained.
An eyewitness, Toyib (50), who works as a resort guard, stated that the fire incident was suspected to have occurred during the activation of the diesel generator. After several hours, black smoke was seen coming from the ceiling of one of the bungalows.
"I immediately called the firefighters while trying to handle the situation early. Thank you to the firefighters who were prompt and quick to respond," he stated.
