Pramono Launches IPA Buaran III with a Capacity of 3,000 Liters per Second

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung launched Buaran III Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Tuesday (5/6). The facility has capacity 3,000 liter per second. This is the highest capacity in Jakarta.

Pramono explained that PAM Jaya has a target to fulfill 100 percent of water needs in 2029. Now the clean water coverage is more than 70 percent.

To expand the scope of its services, Pramono emphasized that PAM Jaya should not only rely on one water source. The construction of Buaran III Water Treatment spent Rp 2.6 trillion.

Pramono encourages PAM Jaya to do strategic partnership or Initial Public Offering (IPO) to be monitored by the public and increase transparency.

He instructed that the plan to be reviewed by involving international auditors. So that the decisions taken will provide maximum benefits for the people of Jakarta. Pramono wants to ensure that the community gets a better water supply, while maintaining the health of the company.

Pramono also emphasized the importance of PAM Jaya providing easy services for the community in getting water. He also expressed his openness to serve water requests from Bekasi residents.

Pramono asked the board of directors, commissioners, and management of PAM Jaya to work hard in achieving the target of clean water service coverage of 100 percent by 2029.

PAM Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin is committed to realize the target. Various programs have also been completed during the 100-day work program of Governor Pramono.

Those are the provision of water tanks in areas with low supply, installation of water purifiers in public facilities, and suction of household waste in collaboration with Paljaya.

Arief reported that Buaran 3 Water Treatment construction and pipe distribution spent Rp 2.6 trillion. PAM Jaya is also ready to realize 100 percent clean water coverage in 2029.
