Governor Pramono Inaugurates 59 High-Level OfficialsAccording to him, Wednesday was chosen as the inauguration day for a reason. He wanted to see their compliance in using public transportation every Wednesday.
He admitted to still using public transportation to run his work agenda today.
"I told Mr. Secretary that I won't swear in those who arrive in private vehicles to the
CIty Hall. This is our joint commitment to uphold our dignity together," he expressed.
He explained the compliance rate of employees using public transportation reached 96 percent. This is closely related to the Jakarta Government's policy of no longer providing official vehicles and parking facilities for employees every Wednesday.
Aside that, the Jakarta Government also provides convenience by offering free public transportation facilities for employees.
"Thus, that is what makes the compliance level high," he added.
While, four percent of employees who do not comply with using public transportation would receive guidance from the Jakarta Government.
"Of course, we will develop them," he asserted.
