DPRD DKI Dukung Target PAM Jaya Alirkan Air ke Seluruh Jakarta pada 2029

Council Urges PAM Jaya to Speed Up Water Infrastructure Development

Jakarta City Council Commission C Secretary, Suhud Alynudin supports the target of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, who has tasked the City-Owned Tap Water Company (PAM Jaya) to supply clean water to all residents of Jakarta by 2029.

We support the Governor's policy

They are also encouraged to expedite the development of water infrastructure in Jakarta.

"We support the Governor's policy," he expressed, at City Council building, Thursday (5/8).

Commission C Supports City's Efforts to Boost Regional Revenue

Alynudin stated PAM Jaya has developed a design for the acceleration of infrastructure development to expand services, particularly in the administrative area of West Jakarta.

"Thus, we can address the water availability in the western region of Jakarta," he expressed.

He also hoped that the Buaran III Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, which is the highest capacity facility in Jakarta, could improve the supply of clean water for residents.

Even his side also supports PAM Jaya's plan to go public. However, he reminded that the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process must be accompanied by PAM Jaya's readiness to become a more professional company in order to maintain public trust.

"It must be done, even though it is still quite far. Because they (PAM Jaya) need to change their company into a regional-owned enterprise," he said.
