21 Thousand Units Flat Ready to Construct In Capital

This year, Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will build 21 thousand Low-Cost Flats (Rusunawa) in 15 locations in capital.

"Our plan, the groundbreaking will be started on upcoming August," told Jakarta Housing and Government Building Head, Ika Lestari Adji, Tuesday (6/23).

Adji explained, approximately Rp 3.3 trillion had been prepared for early stage development of this project. The budget will be allocated trough Government Investment Participation (PMP) of Provincial-Owned enterprises. "So, the budget will only use Jakarta City Budget trough Government Investment Participation and will be built by PT Jakpro (Jakata Propertindo)," he told.

He revealed, the 21 thousand flat units is prepared for the residents who live in riverbank and near railroad. The flats also prioritized for all residents who live, work, and study near the flat location. "At a minimum, we will build 15 floors with an area of one to two hectares in each flat tower," he explained.

The flats will be built in 15 locations covering 2 towers with 1,054 units in Kampung Bandan Flat, 2 towers with 1,054 units in Ujung Menteng Flat, 6 towers with a capacity of 4,576 units in Rawa Buaya Flat, 7 towers with a capacity of 4,000 units in Waduk Pluit Flat, and 7 towers with a capacity of 5,566 units in Kemayoran Athlete Guesthouse.

"The rest, the integrated flat will be built in 10 traditional markets namely Sunter Market, Cempaka Putih Market, Jembatan Besi Market, Sindang market, Grogol market, Lontar Kebon Melati Market, Jelambar Polri Market, Sukapura Market, Block G of Tanah Abang Market," he revealed.
