Lastly, it happened to Transjakarta bus B 7721 IS corridors X route Tanjung Priok-PGC hiting a motorcyclist when passing by Jalan Yos Sudarso towards Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Tuesday morning (6/23).

The motorcyclist plate numbered B 6676 WAW, named Toni Saptoni (49), a resident of Pamulang, South Tangerang, was a victim and dead instantly at the scene.

Responded to this matter, Jakarta Vice Governor , Djarot Saiful Hidajat claimed he has instructed Director of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) to stop the operational of old buses.

"It better be stopped than taking a risk. Check it, if it is broken then stop the operation," said Djarot at City Hall, Tuesday (6/23).

Djarot mentioned, the buses that have been operated since 2003 and 2004, have the high risk to operate on the road. "It could be brake lining run out, thus it better be stopped. If there is one or two unworthy buses operating, it can cause bad service of Transjakarta," he told.

He asserted the condition of Transjakarta bus which operate on the road should be guaranteed thus Jakartans feel safety and convenience during using the mass transportation mode.

"It is not good even just one, will be wounding, ruining. And in the end could decrease for passengers," he expressed.

Being questioned by reporters regarding whether the feasibility of all bus driver need to be tested, Djarot responded, the cause of accident is various.

"It can be caused by the driver, the bus, and also the other road users who enter the Transjakarta bus lane," he disclosed.
