Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung is set to revitalize the Kalijodo Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) in Tambora, West Jakarta.
I want to improve
He conveyed the statement when he visited the Kalijodo RPTRA in the context of issuing the Governor Call for the Kalijodo revitalization plan on Friday (5/16).
Jakarta Music Festival at Kalijodo RPTRA Goes Lively"I want to fix what was previously left behind by the Governor that I think was good," he expressed.
According to him, this public space should be useful for the residents again by providing various necessary facilities. This revitalization was aimed at making the public space more representative and functional. It was expected to be completed within six months.
"Hopefully, this park can function again as before in approximately six months," he hoped.
To realize it, he had instructed the Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency Head, Fajar Sauri to coordinate with various parties and locals.
"One extraordinary thing for me was during that time in Kalijodo under Mr. Ahok and Mr. Djarot, where they made improvements, and it has not been repurposed yet," he explained.
Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency Head, Fajar Sauri explained his team interacted with the residents to rearrange the Kalijodo RPTRA. The residents requested the provision of a multi-functional sports field, a community meeting space, and a contemplation area.
"What the residents are requesting for is related to a multi-purpose sports field that can be used for volleyball, basketball, and even futsal," he explained.
He would also dispatch personnel to supervise the surrounding area.
"Talk about supervision, we have a duty as responsible parties; we supervise by placing security personnel there," he said.
