ASN DKI Semakin Disiplin, 98 Persen Gunakan Transportasi Umum Tiap Rabu

Jakarta Civil Servants More Disciplined in Using Public Transport Every Wednesday

The Jakarta Government's policy requiring civil servants to use public transportation every Wednesday continues to show good progress.

It rose in the second week to 98 percent

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, stated that the compliance rate of civil servants in using public transportation continues to increase, reaching 98 percent.

"We evaluate every week. In the first week, the compliance was 96 percent and it rose in the second week to 98 percent. I received the data from the Head of Transportation Agency," he expressed, at Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (5/21).

He hoped that the trend of civil servants' compliance with public transport continues to raise. This is because the Jakarta Government has also provided free public transportation facilities for employees every Wednesday.

"So, there is no reason," he stressed.

He had also instructed all offices not to accept civil servants who arrive using private vehicles, except for employees who are pregnant or who have received permission from their bosses.

He was optimistic that the policy could parse the capital's congestion. According to Transjakarta President Director's reports, the surge of Transjakarta bus passengers reaches 110,000 every Wednesday.

"This is able to minimize traffic jams in Jakarta," he stressed.

He emphasized that this policy will continue to be implemented and he himself also uses public transportation for his work activities.

"I am consistent in doing that, and sometimes I do experience taking the bus for up to 1 hour or 1.5 hours," he admitted.
