35 Residents Participate in Fishery Product Processing Training

Central Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency, Thursday (5/22), held fishery product processing training at RPTRA Borobudur, Pegangsaan, Menteng.

The program attended by Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin, was participated by 35 residents of Johar Baru, Menteng, Cempaka Putih and Senen Districts.

North Jakarta KPKP Provides Fish Cultivation Training

According to Arifin, this training is very important to gain residents' knowledge in processing fishery products for daily consumption and have economic value.

"I hope the participants can follow the step by step of training as their base before opening business," he said.

Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti stated that previously the training was held at mayor office and attended by residents of Tanah Abang, Kemayoran, Sawah Besar and Gambir District.

"The training aims to provide insight and knowledge regarding processing fishery products," she stated.

Penty explained that participants were given material on processing fish into various types of attractive and delicious food.

"They were taught how to process tuna chunks or canned tuna and shrimp dumpling," Penty explained.

According to her, participants also get cooking set after the training.
