Pramono: Jakarta can Be Among the Top 50 Global Cities

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung emphasized his belief that Jakarta can rank 50th among the world's top global cities.

This can be achieved by changing the paradigm and the way we work

This belief was emphasized during his speech at the Special Lecture of The Year 2025, which also closed the Jakarta Marketing Week at the Grand Atrium Kota Kasablanca, South Jakarta, last Sunday night.

According to him, Jakarta is still the capital city, but it must continue to change and improve itself to become a global city that competes with other cities in the world.

Launching 498th Anniversary, Pramono Targets Jakarta to Become a Cultured Global City

"We want Jakarta to be ranked 50th in the world for global cities. I believe this can be achieved by changing the paradigm and the way we work. I am grateful for the support from within the City Hall," he expressed.

He also appreciated the 13th Jakarta Marketing Week, which received an extraordinary public response.

"This shows Jakarta can still function well amidst the current unfavorable global conditions," he explained.

He also revealed that tax revenue by mid-May has managed to slightly exceed the target.

He added the Jakarta Government has monthly, daily, and weekly dashboards for revenue from taxes.

"Hopefully, if this is managed well and it shows that the 13th Jakarta Marketing Week received high enthusiasm, it means that the economic condition in Jakarta is still good," he hoped.

As information, for 30 minutes, the Governor presented various development plans for Jakarta, including the vision for Jakarta in the next five and twenty years.
