Public Trust in City Government Continues to Increase, Khoirudin Says

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin expressed his pride for Jakarta Provincial Government achieving another Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Indonesia Audit Board (BPK).

This success, he said, is the result of strong collaboration between Jakarta Provincial Government and Jakarta City Council.

"Today's BPK audit reflects optimal cooperation and supervision between the executive and the legislative," he said, Monday (5/26).

Khoirudin added that Jakarta is the province with the highest national achievement in regional financial management. The residents should be proud of it.

"It shows that public trust in Jakarta Provincial Government is increasing," he added.

With the 87 percent percentage, Khoirudin continued, Jakarta Provincial Government achievement is far above the national average by 75 percent only.

"With strong public trust, it is hoped Jakarta Provincial Government will realize transparent, efficient and effective financial management," he continued.

Khoirudin ensured that Jakarta City Council will supervise the follow-up of various recommendations from BPK that must be completed in the next 60 days.

"One of our main supervision focuses is social and public facilities," he stated.

As reported earlier, Jakarta Provincial Government has once again received an Unqualified (WTP) opinion from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) for its financial report in 2024. This marks the eight consecutive year since 2017 that Jakarta has achieved this highest audit rating.

BPK RI Member V, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, explained that WTP opinion was based on adherence to government accounting standards, effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with laws and regulations, and adequate financial disclosures.
