Jakarta Earns WTP Opinion for Eight Consecutive Years

The Jakarta Provincial Government has once again received an Unqualified (WTP) opinion from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) for its financial report in 2024.

"T he Jakarta Provincial Government has managed to maintain WTP opinion for eight consecutive years,"

This marks the eight consecutive year since 2017 that Jakarta has achieved this highest audit rating.

BPK RI Member V, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, explained that WTP opinion was based on adherence to government accounting standards, effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with laws and regulations, and adequate financial disclosures.

"BBPK conveyed that the results of the 2024 audit show the Jakarta Provincial Government has managed to maintain WTP opinion for eight consecutive years," he stated in a plenary meeting at Jakarta Council (DPRD) Building, on Monday (5/26).

He also noted that the Jakarta's achievement surpasses the national average of around 75%, with Jakarta reaching 87.68%.

"This is a good start for future state financial management," he added.

He hopes that Jakarta's financial management in the future would be more accountable and transparent. He also emphasized the importance of addressing BPK's findings within 60 days.

"All this achivements are certainly due to a great synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government and DPRD. Hopefully, the check and balance mechanism will continue to have positive impacts," he mentioned.
