Pramono: Penyelenggaraan Event Besar Tingkatkan Okupansi Hotel

Jakarta Intensively Holds Various Events to Push Hotel Occupancy

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung emphasized that the Jakarta Government is working hard to curb the decline in hotel occupancy rates in Jakarta.

The main point is to keep the activities high, and the hotel full

This statement was conveyed in response to the concerns of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) regarding the decline in hotel occupancy in the capital, which could potentially lead to layoffs.

"We are in Jakarta with all our might to ensure that the occupancy rate doesn't continue to decline," he expressed, at Borobudur Hotel, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/28).

Pramono: Ondel-ondel Should Be Preserved Instead of Misused!

He assessed, the hotel occupancy rate in Jakarta is currently still manageable compared to other areas. The Jakarta Government has promoted various events to push community activities and attract visitors to Jakarta.

"Starting from such as music festivals and sports events every day," he explained.

He added the organization of various events in Jakarta has had a positive impact on the economy, both in the MSMEs and in hospitality.

"Like yesterday's last Soundfest held in Kemayoran, for three days. There were 60,000 people watching, maybe about 40 percent of them were from outside Jakarta. And they needed hotels, they needed places, and so on," he explained.

In June 2025, Jakarta wouls d host three marathon running events. Hopefully, such activities could keep economic activity high and make hotels in Jakarta busy again.

"The main point is to keep the activities high, and the hotel full," he stated.
