City Prepares Pilot Project for Free Private Schools

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing the implementation of the Constitutional Court (MK) decision about the free education provided by state and private schools.
Some of elementary, junior, and vocational high schools, Pramono added, to be made as pilot project of free school. Regarding the free education at state school, Pramono assessed that the program already runs well.
"We're preparing some elementary, junior and vocational high schools to be made as free private school pilot project," Pramono said, Tuesday (6/3).
Pramono Urges PKK to Keep Supporting Community WelfareThrough the MK's decision, Pramono added, Jakarta Provincial Government will accelerate the implementation. Pramono ensured the education problem in can be solved well in Jakarta.
As for information, MK's decision on Tuesday (5/27), stated that the state must provide free basic education provided by elementary, junior, and madrasah or equivalent educational units, both in state and private schools.
