These personnel were from South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency in collaboration with Jakarta KPKP Agency, Indonesian Veterinary Association (PDHI), and students from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at IPB University.

"They ensured that the entire process of animal inspections across 10 sub-districts proceeded optimally and the meat was safe for consumption by residents," she said, on Tuesday (6/10).

She detailed that the unfit sacrificial animal organs consisted of 185.5 kilograms of liver, 36.45 kilograms of lungs, 0.7 kilograms of heart, 2.2 kilograms of spleen, and 0.15 kilograms of kidneys.

"The majority of discarded organs are livers because they show signs of Fasciola Hepatica infection, also known as liver fluke," she added.

She informed that her party targeted inspections at 291 locations, with 1,960 cows, 19 buffaloes, 4,782 goats, and 611 sheep examined.

Irawati also ensured that the entire process of sacrificial animal slaughter during Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri ran smoothly in accordance with Islamic law and prevailing regulations. The quality of the sacrificial meat distributed and consumed by residents was also assured to be safe.

"Alhamdulillah, all the processes went smoothly and the field teams performed well to ensure the safety of the meat and organs of sacrificial animals for South Jakarta residents," she expressed.
