"They are ready to assist developing Jakarta especially for waste, energy, infrastructure, and drinking water," he said.

The Dutch Embassy has also invited the Jakarta Provincial Government to attend a follow-up meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta early next week. This meeting will bring together the Dutch delegation with entrepreneurs and representatives of the Ministry of Finance to discuss investment potential further.

"The detail will be explained in the next week's meeting as investment preparation," he added.

Khoirudin assessed that the opportunities for this collaboration are very open, starting from the investment sector to technology transfer.

"It is a good chance for our manpower absorption," he continued.

He conveyed that he had previously conducted a working visit to the United States with representatives of BUMD to explore various opportunities for cooperation. One of the results was a discussion of the potential loan from the World Bank which would be used to replace around 5,000 conventional Transjakarta buses with electric buses.

"It is very positive as an effort to reduce carbon if we replace coventional buses with electricity. Hopefully the executive will respond this immediately," he hoped.
