The Jakarta Provincial Government through the Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenparekraf RI) successfully held a Familiarization Trip (Famtrip) program for a number of leading tour operators and travel agents from India.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency's Marketing and Attraction Division Head, Sherly Yuliana, stated this platform is an important moment for future collaboration and exploring attractive tour package opportunities for Indian tourists.
She assessed that this collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen Jakarta position as international tourism destination, especially in Southeast Asia market.
"Hopfully this activity will bring more foreign tourists to Jakarta and Indonesia," she hoped.
As for information, the route began with a silat experience, a traditional Indonesian martial art, which provides a deep insight into the cultural heritage of the archipelago. The delegates then continued their visit to the Salihara Art Center, a contemporary art center that is home to various creative performances and exhibitions, highlighting the modern and dynamic side of Jakarta's art scene.
The journey continued with a visit to the Murugan Temple, a temple that is a religious center for the Indian community in Jakarta, showing the cultural diversity and tolerance in the capital.
The final trip was closed with a warm networking dinner at a leading Indian restaurant in Jakarta. Participants had the opportunity to interact and build networks with representatives from the Indonesia Inbound Tour Operators Association (INTOA) Jakarta, namely Nuansa Mandiri and Gatra Citra Kencana.
