Cilangkap Residents Enthusiastically Buy Cheap Food

The rain did not deter residents of Cilangkap Urban Village, Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta from purchasing various affordable food commodities at Garuda RPTRA.

Local Resident, Karsari (38), admitted that he arrived at the RPTRA since 5 AM, as he was worried about not getting a coupon.

"My child is a recipient of KJP Plus, so I can buy this subsidized cheap food. I am very grateful, thank you Mr. Governor," she expressed, Wednesday (6/18).

She admitted that she bought staple foods at low prices, which greatly helps him and his family to meet their nutritional needs.

"Rain is not a problem, I'm willing to queue to get this assistance," she explained.

The same statement came from another buyer, Ida (35).

"The rain is a blessing, so it's not a problem to take the cheap basic food coupons," he admitted.

Cilangkap Urban Village Head, Dicky Wijaya Sumantri added, today marked the stage of swiping the KJP on the EDC machine for purchasing affordable food.

"The food commodities can be picked up tomorrow. There are 400 slots available," he told.

He added residents could purchase subsidized food starting from rice, beef, chicken meat, fish, eggs, to UHT milk.

"I hope this cheap food continues because it clearly benefits the residents and its quota can be increased," he hoped.

Then, Garuda RPTRA Caretaker, Rita admitted, despite the park opens at 6:30 AM, residents had been arriving since 4:30 AM.

"We do our best service to the residents," she stated.
