Therefore, Dharma Jaya directly went to the field to anticipate the rise in the prices of basic necessities in the community by holding a Cheap Market. This was done following the instructions of Jakarta Governor Jakarta, Pramono Anung and his partner, Rano Karno.
"We're here to contribute to maintaining the stability of prices for basic necessities. One of the programs is a cheap market to offer animal protein products at affordable prices while maintaining good quality," he explained.
He added the food security program that is continuously promoted by the Jakarta Government through cheap markets and subsidized cheap food plays an important role in maintaining the food security of the community, especially during National Religious Holidays (HBKN).
Besides making it easier for the community to obtain food supplies at affordable prices, this program also helps the Jakarta Government control inflation and stabilize prices in the market.
"They can buy animal protein needs at the Cheap Market. By so, price pressures in the market can be reduced or minimized, so it is hoped that price stability can be achieved," he added.
According to him, there were various types of animal protein products sold such as beef, chicken, liver, and others. Specifically for the Cheap Market at Pasar Rumput Rusunawa, they provided affordable packages consisting of beef, chicken, and liver for Rp 100,000 per package.
The price was cheaper compared to the market price. He provided 1,000 packages of animal protein products in the Cheap Food Bazaar. Meanwhile, 1,200 packages were from Perumda Pasar Jaya and 1,000 packages were from PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya.
"We specifically provide animal protein because plant-based options are already available. We'll also hold the same activities to control prices," he added.
Previously, Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, appreciated the participation of BUMDs in the food sector, as well as various related parties who have supported and contributed to implement this program. Thus, Jakartans could meet their basic needs during Ramadan until Idulfitri.
He also encouraged collaboration between food BUMDs and all related stakeholders to be strengthened, thus food stock availability could reach more residents in various areas of Jakarta.
"This is also part of the efforts to stabilize the supply and prices of food, conducted through the sale of various food items at low prices, in collaboration with all partners and relevant stakeholders," he closed.
