Pluit Residents Appealed to Be Aware of Tidal Flood

Residents of RW 22, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta are appealed to be aware of the further tidal flood.

Four mobile pumps have been prepared

Pluit Urban Village Head, Achmad Faizal said tidal flood is predicted to remain occur until end of June 2025 due to Super New Moon phenomenon.

"The tidal flood touched 65 cm of height last night at 10 RTs. Then it started to recede this morning," he said, Tuesday (6/24).

According to him, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted tidal flood is has the potential to hit the norther coastal area of Jakarta tonight.

He added that Pluit Urban Village has cooperated with North Jakarta Social Sub-agency to distribute assistances for residents. Then also Health Sub-agency to provide free mobile health check.

Meanwhile, the Orange Troops are also deployed to clean the water channel to smooth the water flow.

"The Blue taskforce personnel also remain standby since last night. Four mobile pumps have been prepared," he added.

North Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Rizqon Hermawan stated the assistances for tidal flood survivors in Pluit have been distributed.

"Cooking oil, instant noodle, rice, biscuit, ketchup, and sardine are packed into 150 packages. The distribution was relied on urban village," he stated.

North Jakarta BPBD Platoon Commander, Muhammad Zidan Firdhaus admitted the tidal flood also inundated Jalan RE Martadinata, Jalan Cumi, and Marunda Urban Village coastline.
