20 Firetrucks Manage Fire in Kwitang

As many as 20 firetrucks with 80 personnel of Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency managed fire that burned 20 houses on Jalan Kembang XI RT 06/02, Kwitang Senen Urban Village, Senen, Thursday (6/26).

Less than 10 minutes, three firetrucks and 12 personnel from Senen Fire Post arrived at the scene for an early handling. Then another firetrucks and personnel came to handle the fire.

He explained that the fire was suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit in one of the residents' houses. The RT management and surrounding residents tried to extinguish the fire using APAR, but the fire grew bigger and spread to other buildings.
The incident burned 20 residents' houses. About 40 families or 160 people lost their homes.
