The Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) held the Kick-Off and Webinar Festival of Disaster Preparedness Education (FESDIKGANA) 2025 as an initial step to increase awareness and disaster preparedness among students.

To encourage active student engagement

FESDIKGANA 2025, themed "Resilient Generation, Fight against the Red Dragon," was held with the support and collaboration of various parties, including EDRR Indonesia, United Tractors, Baznas Bazis Jakarta, Bank Jakarta, and Jakpro.

This active cross-sector collaboration is a tangible form of synergy in building a disaster-aware culture and creating a resilient, caring, and prepared generation in Jakarta to face disasters early on.

Jakarta BPBD Executing Head, Isnawa Adji said, disaster preparedness must be instilled from an early age, starting from the school environment. FESDIKGANA is a series of educational activities aimed at students from various levels of education in Jakarta.

"This festival aims not only to improve disaster literacy but also to encourage active student engagement through various educational, challenging, and inspiring competitions," he expressed, Wednesday (7/2).

Here are three types of competitions held at FESDIKGANA 2025:

1. Educational Video Competition Participants: Elementary School/Islamic Elementary School, Junior High School/Islamic Junior High School, and Senior High School/Islamic Senior High School (maximum of 5 team members and 1 guiding teacher) Timeline: Registration and Upload: July 1-31, 2025 Judging: August 1, 2025 Announcement: August 6, 2025 Note: Each school is only allowed to submit 1 educational video along with its production process

2. Educational Poster Competition Participants: Elementary School/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI) and Junior High School/Madrasah Tsanawiyah (SMP/MTS) (individual participants) Timeline: Registration and Upload: July 1-31, 2025 Judging: August 4, 2025 Announcement: August 6, 2025

3. Disaster Awareness Quiz Competition Participants: 3 students and 1 guiding teacher from Senior High School/Vocational School/Madrasah Aliyah Timeline: Registration: July 1-31, 2025 Online Selection: July 23-25, 2025 Final Round: August 15, 2025. All winners will be announced and awarded at the peak event of FESDIKGANA 2025, which will be held on August 15, 2025. The total prizes provided for the winners amount to tens of millions of rupiah
