6,889 Road Points in North Jakarta Fully Repaired

The North Jakarta Public Works Agency has recorded that 6,889 damaged and pothole sections of roads have been repaired from January to June 2025. The total area of the repaired roads has reached 53,976.952 square meters.

Hopefully, with routine repairs, this can prevent accidents

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Acting Head, Siti Dinarwenny said, potholes or damaged roads commonly occur due to age, heavy rainfall, heavy vehicles, and excavation projects.

"We continue to monitor to identify potholes throughout the area for repairs," she expressed, Wednesday (7/2).

City Repairs Several Road Sections

She explained, the weather nowadays was unpredictable, sometimes hot and rainy, which causes many roads to have potholes.

Therefore, personnel conducted repairs using coldmix and hotmix patches for severe damage.

"This is focused on local streets, connectors, protocols, and arterials. The principle is that we directly repair damaged roads when there are complaints from residents," he asserted.

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency's Road and Bridge Section Head, Budi Cahyo Wardoyo detailed, the roads repaired in January 2025 total 1,451 points covering an area of approximately 5,940.762 square meters.

Then in February, there were 1,375 points with a total area of 2,444.285 square meters; in March, only 454 points reached 722.9 square meters; and 1,066 points covering 5,631.17 square meters in April.

"In May, there were 1,292 points with a total area of 23,820.425 square meters and 1,251 points covering 15,417.41 square meters in June," he explained.

Especially in June, the most repairs were spotted in the Kelapa Gading Sub-district, with a total of 314 points covering an area of 3,235.68 square meters.

"Hopefully, with routine repairs, this can prevent accidents. So, passing drivers will feel safer and more comfortable," he hoped.
