He explained, 10 fire trucks with 50 personnel were deployed to conduct the firefighting process.
"We managed to control it at 7.29 AM. No casualties in the incident," he stressed.
In total, 61 patients undergoing treatment were successfully evacuated to a safer location.
"The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the police. So far, the site has been cordoned off with police tape and is undergoing investigation," he added.
One of the patients at RSIA Hermina, Weny (36), reported hearing an explosion accompanied by thick smoke spreading to several rooms on multiple floors.
"Hospital officers promptly assisted in evacuating the patients. Thank God, everyone was successfully saved, and the firefighters arrived quickly and took action," she stated.
