Rano Highlights Mosques' Role in Community Empowerment

On the other hand, Jakarta Baznas Bazis Chairman, Akhmad Abubakar, explained that the Mosque Award serves as a form of appreciation and motivation for mosque caretakers to improve services for the community.
"This award is meant to encourage mosque caretakers to enhance services to the community," he mentioned.
According to him, Mosque Award 2025 is divided into six categories: Child-friendly Mosque, Elderly-friendly Mosque, Youth-friendly Mosque, Underprivileged-friendly Mosque, Disabled-friendly Mosque, and Disaster-responsive Mosque.
Initially, 155 mosques were registered to participate. After administrative verification, 73 were eligible for judging and narrowed down to 5 finalists per category through further selection and field verification to ensure that each mosque's programs and vision aligned with the categori criteria.
In the end, three winners were chosen for each categoriy, except for Disabled-friendly Mosque, which had two winners. The first place winner received Rp 25 million, second place Rp 15 million, and third place Rp 10 million.
"In this event, we also signing an MoU with Bank Jakarta, Hebitren, DMI, and STIAMI. There's also a soft launch of UPZ app, Islamic lecture (tausiyah) by KH Ibnu Aqil Siradj," he said.
