Bapemperda-Governor Pramono Discuss Acceleration of Regional Regulation Formation

Jakarta City Council's Members of the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) held a meeting with Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (7/3).

Jakarta Bapemperda Head, Abdul Aziz said his ranks get full support from the governor to encourage discussion of Regional Regulation (Perda) to be more effective and productive.

"We proposed this meeting to smooth the discussing of Regional Regulation process to be more quickly and efficiently," he said.

He added that Governor Pramono is committed to hold regular meeting with Bapemperda every three months to discuss the development of the Perda discussion.

"The meeting discussed Regional Regulations that are currently still waiting in us," he added.

He continued Bapemperda is ready to discuss 30 Draft Regional Regulations (Raperda). Jakarta City Council is discussing the Special Committee on Education Provision, the Special Committee on Smoke-Free Areas, the Special Committee on Regional Property, and the Special Committee on Utility Networks in parallel.

Aziz then invites Jakarta residents to support the smooth process of forming the Regional Regulation.

"Hopefully the discussion process can run optimally for the sake of public interests," he stated.
