Maintain Commodities Quality in Jakarta, City Will Hold OTPS

This year, Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security Department (DKPKP) will hold Healthy Food Transport Operation (OTPS). The operation is intended to check commodity such as agricultural, fisheries, livestock products quality that will come into Jakarta.

He explained, the OTPS is intended to regulate the whole commodity products that will be entered into Jakarta. As example, all poultry products will be checked in Chicken Slaughterhouses (RPU) in Rawa Kepiting and Petukangan Utara.
Chicken Market Center Development Starts this Year"And for the beef, we will send it to Animal Slaughterhouses (RPH) Cakung. Dairy cows will be sent to RPH Pondok Rangon. Fisheries will be directed to Muara Angke or Muara Baru. Then, agricultural products will be sent to Kramatjati Market," he explained.
According to Darjamuni, this operation will be held at night until dawn with the involvement of police, Satpol PP, and Transportation Department officers. The OTPS targets all delivery cars which drove commodities from outside Jakarta.
"We will stop fisheries product at Muara Angke and Muara Baru, we will take sample and hold quick lab test. If the product containing hazardous substances, we will prohibit the car to go to Jakarta," he said firmly.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Food Security Division Head of Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security Department, Sri Haryati added, this operation is also an effort to give food security guarantee to all Jakarta residents.
"Previously, we also coordinate with local suppliers trough related department. As example, if they send fisheries product, the product should have certificate of their origins and also free of hazardous substances," she revealed.
