"Currently, the street lights are operating normally. We have normalized the network using 4x16 millimeter twisted pair cables," he said, Thursday (7/24).

He explained that the cable theft and sidewalk damage had occurred around the end of May. His team then immediately established a nighttime patrol team to ensure no cable theft crimes occurred in the area.

"We had previously reported the theft to the police. Thankfully, the thieves were arrested yesterday and are being prosecuted," he explained.

He added that the sub-agency has also repaired sidewalks that were damaged by thieves. The sidewalks are now neat and tidy.

Meanwhile, one of Tanjung Priok residents, Echa (38) appreciated the sub-agency's response by repairing public street lights and sidewalks on Jalan Jampea.

"The area is really quiet at night. But I am grateful that the sub-agency acted quickly when the lights went out," he admitted.
