DPRD DKI Apresiasi Kenaikan Dana Operasional RT dan RW Oktober 2025

City Council Appreciates Increase in Jakarta RT/RW Operational Funds

Jakarta City Councul Member, Ali Lubis, appreciated Governor Pramono Anung's policy to boost the operational funds for RT and RW administrators by 25 percent starting October 2025.

"Tentu sangat mendukung,"

This is a form of the Jakarta Government's support for improving the welfare of regional administrators who are the frontline of public service.

"We certainly support this. It is a form of support for the welfare of RT and RW administrators, whose duties are very heavy in the community," he expressed, Friday (7/25).

He added, this increase in funds will not significantly burden the City Budget (APBD), considering its relatively small allocation compared to the regional budget, which amounts to Rp 91 trillion.

"I even suggest increasing operational funds by up to 100 percent. My calculation is that the number of RTs in Jakarta is around 30,500, with an additional Rp 500,000 per RT, and RW units totaling 2,741 with an additional Rp 625,000 per RW. The total is only around Rp 16.7 billion. So, this is very feasible and worthwhile," he explained.

He also requested that incentives for other community elements such as FKDM, LMK, Posyandu cadres, and Jumantik be considered.

Another member, Bun Joi Phiau, also welcomed this policy. With his experience as a neighborhood chief for 20 years, he believes that an increase in operational funds is very necessary to support activities and services for residents.

According to him, operational funds are important, to smoothen activities in the environment. With this additional funding, it will certainly be very helpful.

"In the past, when I was the RT chairman, I often had to spend some money to meet the needs of residents. We appreciate this initial step. Therefore, the 25 percent figure should be regarded as an initial stage towards greater improvement," he stated.
