Munjirin Inaugurates SPKLU in Ciracas

East Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin launched the Ciracas Jakarta Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) on Jalan Penganten Ali, Ciracas Urban Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.

The inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Munjirin and Mochammad Andi Adchaminoerdin, General Manager of PT PLN Jakarta Distribution. During the ceremony, they also symbolically charged electric car batteries at the SPKLU.

Munjirin said that this SPKLU is very positive and beneficial because it can promote clean air in Jakarta since its operation is pollution-free.

City Eyes Cross-Regional Cooperation to Handle Air Pollution

"The East Jakarta City Government will support the acceleration of the provision of SPKLUs. We are open to collaborating to provide space or land for SPKLUs," he said, Thursday (7/31).

Munjirin explained that he would conduct an inventory of government assets that could be used for SPKLU, especially in strategic locations.

Munjirin added there are also many housing or property developers in East Jakarta who can be invited to make the Jakarta Blue Sky program a success.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PT PLN Jakarta Distribution, Mochammad Andi Adchaminoerdin explained, PT PLN has nationally provided 3,300 SPKLU units with the largest number on Java Island reaching around 2,300.

"Jakarta has the largest number of service stations on Java Island, with approximately 530 units out of a target of 1,000 SPKLUs this year. East Jakarta already has 130 SPKLUs, and three more were added today in Ciracas," he stated.
