N. Jakarta Satpol PP Carries Out Public Order Operation

North Jakarta Satpol PP carried out the Bina Tertib Praja Operation in six sub-districts, which began with a joint assembly led by North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat at Mayor's Office West Plaza.

"Through this effort, we hope to make North Jakarta a more orderly and comfortable place,"

Hendra stated that this activity is part of his commitment to enforcing regional regulations and fostering public order in the community. The goal is to create an orderly, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.

"Bina Tertib Praja is not just a public order operation, but also a form of guidance and education to encourage compliance and promote social order," he said on Thursday (8/7).

He admitted that the field challenges remain significant, including street vendors operating on the sidewalks, illegal parking, and individuals requiring social welfare services. As such, the approach must be firm yet humane.

"There must be no arrogance. We must apply persuasive and educational approaches, involving all stakeholders, including community and religious leaders," he added.

He hopes this activity serves as a shared momentum to raise public awareness about maintaining order in their surroundings.

"Hopefully, this initiative brings real benefit to the community and strengthens public trust in the local government," he expressed.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Satpol PP, Muhammadong, explained that the operation involved 250 joint personnel from various agencies, including Satpol PP; Parking Unit; Social, Transportation, Bina Marga, PPKUKM Sub-agencies; as well as police and army.

"The operation was simultaneously conducted across all six sub-districts in North Jakarta targeting illegal parking, illegal parking attendants, PKL, and PPKS," he informed.

According to him, those apprehended during the operation were taken to the local mayor's office for data collection, followed by minor court hearings (Tipiring) and referral to social institutions for further guidance.

"Through this effort, we hope to make North Jakarta a more orderly and comfortable place. We will also continue to monitor regularly to ensure the area remains under control," he asserted.
