Residents Receive 1,400 Red and White Flags to Celebrate Indonesian Independence

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin, handed over 1,400 red and white flags to sub-district heads, urban village heads, and community organizations. These flags will be distributed to residents in eight sub-districts.

According to him, it was aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and foster national pride.

"We invite the residents to raise flags to celebrate the nation's independence," he expressed, Monday (8/11).

On this occasion, he also encouraged all elements of society to work together to instill a sense of nationalism in the younger generation as the successors of the nation.

"Let's instill patriotism and love for the homeland by demonstrating that we can continue the dreams and aspirations of our nation's ancestors," he explained.

"I invite residents to celebrate Independence Day's80th anniversary by participating in various competitions in their respective communities," he added.
