Buildings on Jalan Sudirman are Decorated to Welcome City's Anniversary

To celebrate and enliven Jakarta's 498th anniversary, dozens of buildings on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta have started to be decorated.

Many buildings in Sudirman have been decorated with umbul-umbul and flags welcoming Jakarta's anniversary

Tanah Abang Sub-district Head, Suprayogi said, the Jakarta's anniversary ornaments and umbul-umbul (decorative flags) have begun to adorn several government and private office buildings, hotels, and shopping centers in his area.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), many buildings in Sudirman have been decorated with umbul-umbul and flags welcoming Jakarta's anniversary," he expressed, Friday (6/20).

The building managers also independently decorated the parks located in front of their respective buildings.

His side also held the Bendungan Hilir Festival last week and also a gratitude event with residents and RT/RW administrators in Kebon Kacang Urban Village.

"This festival lasts for two days and is a celebration at Kebon Kacang," he said.
