Jakarta to Hold Job Fair Festival Next Week, Be There!

The Jakarta Government is about to hold a Job Fair (Jobfest) at the Velodrome, East Jakarta, which falls on August 19-20, 2025.

To provide Jakarta residents with job opportunities to improve their quality of life

Jobfest 2025 will also be enlivened with entertainment shows, career talkshows from the provincial government and private companies, as well as public services such as civil registration, licensing, and Mobile Samsat services.

Jakarta Governor Staff for Social Communication, Chico Hakim, said that creating jobs for Jakarta residents has been the main focus of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and his deputy Rano Karno since the beginning.

"The event to be held at the Jakarta International Velodrome Flag Plaza from 10 AM to 4 PM is a form of effort to provide Jakarta residents with job opportunities to improve their quality of life," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release, Wednesday (8/13).

He stated that there will be 40 companies offering 2,000 job vacancies at Jakarta Jobfest 2025 with the theme 'From Jakarta, Seize Job Opportunities.' These dozens of companies come from manufacturing, transportation, warehousing and communication, construction, finance, insurance and leasing, wholesale trade, restaurants and hotels, as well as social, community, and entertainment services.

There is also a work training center booth, career talkshows, as well as entertainment performances and public service vehicles.

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency Head, who is also the event organizer, Syaripudin, stated this event also includes a seminar or talk show on professional career development.

"What sets this job fair apart from the one in Jakarta is that it not only contains information about job vacancies, but also includes seminars or career talkshows from the government and private sector that are professional," he explained.

There are also training showcases, ranging from makeup artistry, barista, welding, to public service vehicles, licensing, mobile libraries, and Mobile Samsat.

"Including entertainment stages also for visitors," he added.

They have prepared anticipation for participant congestion or overcrowding during the event.

"At Jobfest 2025, there will be no physical pile-up of documents, everything will be done digitally to prevent data misuse. There will still be walk-in interviews, but the mechanism has been arranged in such a way that participant congestion is not expected to occur," he stated.
