Focusing on Improving Quality of Life, Pramono Shares the City's Achievements

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung delivered the 2024 Jakarta Government's Accountability Report (LKPJ) at Jakarta Council (DPRD) Plenary Session held at Jakarta DPRD Building, on Wednesday (4/9).

"S ynergy that has been created needs to be maintained and even strengthened in the future,"

In his speech, Pramono outlined city's achivements and development results carried out in 2024 based on regional development priorities. He detailed several successes in various government sectors.

In education sector, the city government disbursed educational assistance through Smart Jakarta Card (KJP) Plus to 533,649 students and Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) to 15,649 students.

"A total of Rp1.45 trillion in Operational Education Fund (BOP) and Rp1.99 trillion in Operational Assistance for Educational Units (BOSP) were distributed across all education levels, including elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, vocational schools, and special education," he said.

In health sector, universal access to healthcare services improved, with the Universal Health Coverage Service Coverage Index (UHC SCI) touching 79.46 percent and the Health SPM Achievement Index (IP SPM) touching 100 percent.

Meanwhile, participation in the National Health Insurance (JKN) scheme also touched 98.34 percent, with 4.55 million residents enrolled by the regional government. Pramono also mentioned that the improvement of health infrastructure continues, including the total renovation of 4 health centers (puskesmas), ambulance procurement, and the planning and development of several hospitals and health centers.

In social sector, the programs including social rehabilitation, disaster management, and social protection and welfare showed significant results, with thousands of beneficiaries receiving assistance through the Jakarta Child Card, benefiting 20,272 people; the Jakarta Disability Card, benefiting 16,884 people; and the Jakarta Elderly Card, benefiting 135,140 people.

In Public Works and Spatial Planning sector, the Jakarta Government successfully maintained 97.30 percent of roads in good condition and increased the ratio of pedestrian pathways in mass transportation areas.

The government also carried out Water Resources (SDA) programs, including river normalization, increasing water storage capacity, handling abrasion in Thousand Islands, overcoming standing water within two hours, as well as improving access to safe wastewater services and piped drinking water sources.

In Housing and Settlement Area sector, the rusunawa construction in Jagakarsa was completed and is 86.9 percent occupied. The percentage of slum settlements also decreased to 6.46 percent through the revitalization of 1,813.15 hectares of land.

Furthermore, Pramono also shared the results of environmental development. The Environmental Quality Index (IKLH) and the Percentage of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction exceeded performance targets.

Waste management was achieved at 99.65 percent, and the proportion of green open spaces increased to 5.35 percent with the development of several parks and urban forests.

"In transportation, the target for residents using public transport was reached at 20.97 percent, and the number of integration points between modes of transport increased by 26 points," he said.

In addition, the development of Jakarta’s MRT Phase 2A (Bundaran HI-Kota) showed significant progress, reaching 84.45 percent by December 2024.

Tourism sector recorded an increase in the number of tourists to 34.1 million people, while Creative Economy sector grew by 5.29 percent. UMKM and Cooperative development programs also showed positive results in the digitalization of UMKM and the growth of cooperative business volumes.

In labor sector, the open unemployment rate decreased to 6.21 percent, and thousands of job seekers successfully found employment through job fairs.

"In the food sector, the Food Resilience Index reached 91.91 out of 100, and the food vulnerability handling program achieved 100 percent of food-resilient areas," he added.

Meanwhile, investment realization reached Rp 241.9 trillion.

In communication and informatics sector, Jakarta's SPBE Index received a "satisfactory" rating. JakWIFI program continues to expand with 2,000 points in operation.

Related to human resources the 2024 Merit System Index achieved an excellent rating, with various efforts to improve compentency and human resource needs.

Meanwhile, in public order, public safety, and community protection, there were positive achievements in resolving violations of local regulations, disaster management, and fire prevention and control.

Further regarding regional expenditure, Pramono reported that by the end of 2024, the realization reached Rp 70.01 trillion, or 92.09 percent of the planned target of Rp 76.02 trillion.

As for regional financing, the realization of financing receipts amounted to Rp 9.34 trillion, or 91.11 percent of the target of Rp 10.25 trillion, sourced from the Remaining Budget Calculation (SiLPA) of the previous year, which was Rp 6.54 trillion, Domestic Loans of Rp 2.80 trillion, and Loan Repayments of Rp 71 million.

Meanwhile, the realization of financing expenditures amounted to Rp 7.84 trillion, or 85.51 percent of the planned Rp 9.17 trillion. These financing expenditures include, among others, capital participation from the Regional Government to PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung, PT Jakarta Propertindo, PT Bank DKI Jakarta, PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta, and PT Penjamin Kredit totaling Rp 5.98 trillion and principal repayments for domestic loans from the Central Government amounting to Rp 1.86 trillion.

"With the realization of regional revenue, regional expenditure, and regional financing, there was a Remaining Budget Calculation (SiLPA) of Rp 4.43 trillion at the end of 2024," he conveyed.

On this occasion, Pramono also expressed his appreciation to the members of Jakarta DPRD, security personnel, and community leaders who have contributed to the development of the city of Jakarta.

He stated that this report is a summary of the LKPJ book that has been submitted by the executive as a reflection of the cooperation and strong commitment between the Local Government, DPRD, and the community for the welfare of Jakarta residents.

"Therefore, the synergy that has been created needs to be maintained and even strengthened in the future," he concluded.
