Rice Stock in Jakarta is Safe, Gov Pramono Says

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has said that rice stocks are still safe. Moreover, the withdrawal of mixed rice produced by PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya will not disrupt rice stocks in Jakarta.

"Rice stock is safe," he said, at Ragunan Zoo (TMR), Ragunan, South Jakarta, Thursday (8/14).

Pramono is grateful because the production equipment of PT Food Station was not confiscated as evidence related to the case of alleged violation of premium rice quality standards. The production equipment can still operate, so it does not affect rice production in Jakarta.

"Yesterday we requested that the equipment not become evidence that cannot be operated later because it would affect rice supplies in Jakarta. That's why, we are grateful that it can be operated," he explained.

He asserted, the adulterated rice that has been withdrawn from the market will not be redistributed. He will also fix management at PT Food Station.

"We will continue to ask the existing directors and professionally open the post for a new director. So, I want a professional Food Station," he asserted.
